Rules for ElectricDecember online submission
DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES: FRI 28 SEPTEMBER 2012
FREE ENTRY (apart from postage costs if your film is selected)
What are we looking for for Electric December 2012?
- Short films of under 5mins long
- any genres and production techniques (animation, documentary, drama, experimental, etc) except for advertisments
- made by young people (under 21 years old) from Europe
- completed after September 2011
- in English or with English subtitles
- must only contain images and sound that you have permission to use & show people who have agreed to be in the film
If your film gets selected for Electric December 2012 you will be asked to supply us with:
- a high quality video file and digital stills (300dpi) of the film for publicity use
- a signed copy of the submission form by post (address below) or fax: +44 (0)117 921 3958
Electric December 2012 Contributors' Responsibilities
- Do you have permission to use all the material in the film such as sounds and music?
- Have the people who appear in the film given you permission for including them?
- When you have signed this document you, The Contributor, have agreed that you are responsible for these points and have the right to screen the film to the public.
Other important conditions:
The Contributor grants a license to Watershed for use of the film and promotional materials supplied for inclusion as follows:
- for exhibition online and for non-commercial theatrical use at Watershed, partner venues, and use in other media for promotional non-commercial purposes as part of Electric December on a non-exclusive basis
- the materials are made available for inclusion in Electric December at no cost to Watershed The Contributor warrants that it is legally entitled to grant this licence and has obtained the appropriate permissions, copyright and intellectual property rights.
The Contributor further warrants that the Works will not infringe the copyright or other rights of any third party when used for the purposes envisaged by this policy and will not contain any unlawful, obscene or immoral, defamatory or libellous material and will not constitute derogatory treatment of any work or any person.
